“Since I was born in south east Asia and my parents lived in foreign countries for many years, I grew up in a household where I was always in touch with different cultures for example our furniture is from Asia or we often cook Asian food. I also had au pairs when I was younger and we still have a close relationship. I also want to have contact with my host family after the au pair year because I really like the idea of having family on the other side of the world.”
